About Rooted PT
Liz Wesselman, PT, DPT, OCS, COMT
My name is Liz Wesselman, I am a physical therapist and owner of Rooted Physical Therapy — and no, I don’t just hand out exercise bands and call it a day! I’m a licensed physical therapist with a passion for helping people actually get back to doing the things they love, whether that’s running marathons, lifting weights, chasing kids, or just living with less pain.
In addition to my Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees, I also come with over a decade of clinical experience and a heart rooted in compassion (and maybe a little stubborn determination). My experience includes orthopedics, sports medicine, geriatric, vestibular, and neurological. I created Rooted PT as a mobile, cash-based private practice designed to meet your individual needs, where you are — literally and figuratively. I believe healing should fit into real life, not the other way around.
When I’m not working with clients, you can find me outdoors with my dogs soaking up nature, jamming to good music, cooking some over the top meal, or cracking sarcastic jokes with my friends. You can count on our time spent together to be fun and productive! At Rooted PT, we’re about results, but we’re also about personal connection, empowerment, and giving you the tools to thrive long after our sessions end.
Why did I choose the name "Rooted" PT? That's easy. Not only did I want our name to imply dependability and deep connections, but I am also a firm believer in the healing power of nature and a whole body holistic approach.
My ultimate goal is to get you back to living your fullest life and biggest goals — because YOU deserve nothing less.

Pricing
*Note: Rooted is a out-of-network and we do not accept health insurance. See FAQ below for more details*
Everyone's situation is unique to them, so cost should be too. After initial evaluation, you will receive a customized treatment plan with upfront pricing. We will recommend what is realistic to giving you the results you want. All sessions are 1:1, fully individualized to your needs. No cookie cutter PT with us. We offer single visit and 5 or 10 session package options. Single sessions range from $100-125.
We promise--no surprise bills or add on charges!
Initial Evaluation - full body evaluation, treatment, treatment plan of care development, initial HEP (60-75 min): $150
We do offer individual "a la carte" treatment options such as dry needling, soft tissue mobilization, scraping/instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, cupping and stretching. These are fixed pricing, contact us for pricing sheet.
FAQ
- Do you take my insurance? Unfortunately, we do not accept any health insurance at this time. The current insurance system puts many limitations on how, when, where, and why we provide treatment which then puts limitations on YOUR care. At Rooted, we believe in treating the whole person and meeting your specific needs and we can best provide that by not involving your health insurance company. Ask us about receiving a “superbill” to submit to insurance.
- Do I need to provide any equipment during in home sessions? No! We will arrive with a portable treatment table, linens, and any other necessary equipment for your visit. We just ask for an open space to set up the table and ideally private to avoid distractions and allow full focus on YOU!
- How do you accept payment? We accept multiple forms of payment including Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, major credit cards, check, and cash.
- Do you accept HSA/FSA? Yes!
- Do you offer payment plans? Nothing formal yet, but we strive to be as affordable and accessible as possible. Just ask us and we can discuss on an individual basis.
- Do visits purchased expire? Not necessarily. Depending on your specific issues and services requested, treatments can be spread out. We do request that if its been >3 months, you may be subject to a re-evaluation charge, which ensures you are still receiving appropriate care.
- What are your hours? We have flexible scheduling options from early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- I live in SE Indiana or Cincinnati. What is your mileage fee? Currently, I charge 0.50 cents/mile extra travel outside NKY. This may fluctuate depending on current fuel prices.
- What if I don’t want you to come to my house? Understandably, sometimes a “stranger” in your home can be uncomfortable. Reach out and we can discuss virtual options.
- Do I need a doctor's referral? No!
- What is your cancellation policy? We get it, things come up. We strive to be understanding and flexible for rescheduling. We request a 24 hour notice. If less than 24 hours, you may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
